Boonen studied with Jules de Bruycker at the Academy in Antwerp.

A fine impression of this very rare work, a stellar example of Dutch art and design from "De Nieuwe Kunst" era. Very good condition apart from three small tears just to the image in the upper right corner. The colors fresh. A complete example of this famous art nouveau calendar is located in the Gemeentemuseum, The Hague. Ex-collection: H.P. BERLAGE (not in Lugt).

The condition is excellent. (There's a tiny speck of printing ink to the right of the platemark at top.) Kramer is best known as an illustrator of children's books. She also did theatre designs. Her prints are outstanding and rare.

Mesquita was the subject of a major retrospective in 2005 with the publication of a catalog raisonne of the graphic work by Jonieke van Es. Mesquita was M.C. Escher's good friend and teacher.

This is an early, potent work by de Smet, one of the most important of the Flemish expressionist printmakers. It's a rare print.
