Small stain outside of image, upper left corner. He was a member of the l'Academie Royale de Belgique and his work is found in several museum collections in Europe and America.

Boonen studied with Jules de Bruycker at the Academy in Antwerp.

A fine impression of this very rare work, a stellar example of Dutch art and design from "De Nieuwe Kunst" era. Very good condition apart from three small tears just to the image in the upper right corner. The colors fresh. A complete example of this famous art nouveau calendar is located in the Gemeentemuseum, The Hague. Ex-collection: H.P. BERLAGE (not in Lugt).

It's illustrated and discussed in Van Gogh to Mondrian; Dutch Works on Paper (2000)

The condition is excellent. (There's a tiny speck of printing ink to the right of the platemark at top.) Kramer is best known as an illustrator of children's books. She also did theatre designs. Her prints are outstanding and rare.

One of many fantastic figural studies by the artist, he referred to these as "sensitivic etchings." Mesquita was the subject of a major retrospective in 2005 with the publication of a catalog raisonne of the graphic work by Jonieke van Es. Mesquita was M.C. Escher's good friend and teacher.

The margins are wide if not full. The condition is fine. This large work exemplifies Mesquita's bold sense of design and his quest for simplicity. Like most of the artist's prints this work is rare.

The margins appear to be full and untrimmed. (A pencil annotation or dedication has been erased at right, just above the signature. This is an early, potent work by de Smet, one of the most important of the Flemish expressionist printmakers. It's a rare print.
