Fashions of the Past Etching and aquatint, 1926, Morse 224 (vi/VI); edition 100. 8 x 9 7/8 in. Signed and dated in the plate, lower left. Signed and titled in pencil and inscribed "100 proofs." This is a fine impression printed on white wove paper. The margins are wide. The condition is excellent. This exemplary work by Sloan sums up window shopping in New York during the 1920s. SOLD |

Tack holes on three sides of the sheet. A minor stain in the upper right corner margin outside of the platemark. (The artist is the man behind the x-ray screen.) SOLD |
