A fine, luminous impression of the very rare first state, before the plate was cut down. Wide margins. Very good condition apart from a repaired split in the lower right corner, just to the platemark. Signed impressions of Appian etchings are quite rare.

Very good condition other than minor areas of discoloration in the margins only. A very fine example of Besnard's work.
