Bass Bay Etching and aquatint printed in colors, circa 1925-35, edition 100. 10 x 8 1/2 in. Initialed in the plate. Signed, numbered and titled in pencil. This s a fine impression printed on sturdy white wove paper. The margins are wide and the condition is fine. Haines became an associate member of the Royal Canadian Academy in 1919 and was elected president of the Ontario Society of Artists in 1924. He was a founding member of the Canadian Society of Etchers and Printers. This colorful, well-crafted arts and crafts image is a very good example of his work. SOLD |

Beech Tree, York Hills Etching and aquatint printed in colors, circa 1930, edition 75. 11 3/8 x 13 7/8 in. Signed and titled in pencil. Signed in the plate with the artist's monogram. A fine impression in fine condition. Full margins. This well-known Canadian artist was quite active in Ontario art circles including a few years as President of the Ontario Society of Artists. SOLD |
