The Church Tower
Woodcut printed in colors, undated (probably 1920s), edition 100. 12 3/4 x 8 7/8 in. Signed, numbered and titled in pencil. This a a fine, beautifully-inked impression printed on cream laid paper. The margins are full and the condition is excellent. Ingles studied at the Royal College of Art in London. In the tradition of Fletcher, Seaby, Platt and others, Ingles produced a number of well-crafted woodcuts in an arts and crafts style.
