A Taos Street Scene Woodcut, circa 1935, edition unknown. 4 3/8 x 6 3/4 in. Signed and titled in pencil. Signed by the printer in pencil, Sina Brush. This is a fine impression printed on a thin Japanese paper. The margins are full. The condition is very good apart from minor rippling in the lower margin, away from the image. Latham first went to Taos in 1925 and she married Howard Cook in 1927. In addition to her woodcuts, she was active as a painter and book illustrator. This is a nice example of her work. SOLD |
