Merry-go-Round, Paris Woodcut, 1914, small edition. 9 1/4 x 10 3/4 in. Signed and dated on the original support sheet, lower right. A brilliant impression on china paper. Trimmed along the borderline as originally designed. Fine condition. This stunning, early print was done the year before the artist moved to Provincetown, MA. McMillen, who worked exclusively in black and white, is included in From Paris to Provincetown: Blanche Lazzell and the Color Woodcut (2002) by Barbara Stern Shapiro. SOLD |

The Shipyard, (Provincetown) Woodcut, 1915, vary small edition. 10 1/2 x 8 1/4 in. The print is signed and dated in pencil just below the image. The print is titled on the verso at top with the original price of $10.
(Note: McMillen traditionally trimmed her prints to the image and attached them to a support sheet which she than signed, as is the case here.) This is a fine impression in fine condition. The print is rare. SOLD |
