Venetian Barges
Drypoint, undated (1920s), edition 75. 10 3/8 x 14 1/2 in. Signed in the plate with the artist's monogram. Signed in pencil, lower right. This is a fine, luminous impression printed on cream wove paper. The margins are full and the condition is fine. Tushingham was a talented and prolific etcher of various scenes in England, Italy and Spain. The Whistler tradition is here in evidence.
