Etching, 1879, Kennedy 181 (iii/III); edition unknown. 5 3/8 x 7 3/4 in. Signed in the plate with the artist's butterfly signature. This is a fine, luminous impression printed in black ink on off-white laid paper with a fleur-de-lis watermark. The margins are wide. The condition is also fine. This view of the Thames was just up-river from where Whistler lived in Chelsea.       SOLD
