Etching, 1921, Zigrosser 134, edition fewer than 500 as published in the New Republic portfolio. 6 7/8 x 8 3/4 in. Signed and dated in the plate. Signed in pencil, lower left. This is a fine impression printed with plate tone. The margins are full with a deckle edge showing on all sides. The condition is excellent. According to Zigrosser, the total edition of the New Republic portfolio was probably about 500 impressions, but the Marin prints were divided between this and one other, Brooklyn Bridge No.6 (Swaying), Zigrosser 112. Zigrosser originally thought Z106 (Brooklyn Bridge and Lower New York) was the other print but he subsequently corrected himself. In any event, this print, Z134, is much more common and certainly quite desirable.      SOLD
