Etching, drypoint and aquatint, 1874, Bourcard/Goodfriend 122 (vi/VII), edition unknown. 6 3/8 x 9 1/2 in. Signed and dated in the plate. Signed in pencil and also inscribed, "épreuve d'artiste." This is a superb, richly inked impression of this Boudin-like subject. Printed on a cream-colored, Japanese paper, the margins are quite wide and the condition is very good. (There's ever so slight toning within a previous mat opening.) The artist's small, red owl stamp is seen in the lower left corner of the image.       SOLD
