A Bit of Walipi (sic) (New Mexico) - GERALD CASSIDY
Medium: lithograph

GERALD CASSIDY
American, (1869-1934)
Lithograph, 1920s, edition unknown. 9 7/8 x 13 3/4 in. Signed and titled on the stone. This is a fine impression with full margins. The condition is excellent. Cassidy was one of the first fine art lithographers working in New Mexico. His work is discussed in Clinton Adams' seminal publication, Printmaking in New Mexico, 1880-1990 (1991). He signed his prints in the image, as here, and not in pencil. With all due respects to the artist, we think the correct spelling should be "Walapai." SOLD
