Lithograph, 1858, Delteil 2876 (iii/III), edition unknown. 8 3/8 x 10 1/16 in. Initialed on the stone, lower left. This is a fine impression ("sur blanc") with full margins. The condition is fine other than for a tiny smudge near the text at bottom and slight age toning at the extreme edges of the sheet. This print is from the series, "Croquis d'été." Two very well dressed women are walking along the Seine in a heat wave on a Sunday during the summer. Their expressions convey the intensity of the moment. Ex-collection: Gabriel Cognacq (Lugt 538d) and Henri M. Petiet (see Lugt 2021a).      $550
