Etching, 1862, Harris 18 (ii/II), total edition unknown. 12 3/8 x 9 1/4 in. Signed in the plate, lower right. This is a very fine impression printed on HUDELIST paper with light plate tone. The margins are wide but somewhat trimmed. The condition is fine. This is an early, lifetime impression as printed by Delatre and published by the Societe des Aquafortistes (Cadart et Chevalier, 66, rue de Richelieu). Later editions of this important print appeared in 1874, 1890, 1894 and 1905.      SOLD
