Woodcut printed in colors, 1921, Merx 321; edition unknown. 14 7/8 x 8 1/8 in. Signed in the block with the artist's monogram. Signed and titled in pencil. This is a superb, luminous impression in fine condition. The margins are narrow but this is probably the full, untrimmed sheet of Japanese paper. Thiemann was a master craftsman and this is a typical subject for him. He was best known for his woodcuts done in this illustrative, arts and crafts style.      SOLD
