Lithograph, circa 1905, edition fewer than 10. 13 1/2 x 10 1/4 in. Signed on the stone with his initials and signed in pencil, lower right. This is a very fine impression printed on china paper. The condition is fine. The margins are wide and probably untrimmed. Most of the Belleroche lithographs were printed in very small editions such as this. He was friends with Sargent and certainly inspired Sargent to venture into lithography. Belleroche is the author of "The Lithographs of John Singer Sargent" published in the Print Collector's Quarterly (February,1926). There was a joint retrospective exhibition of Belleroche and Toulouse-Lautrec held in Paris in 1956.      SOLD
