The condition is excellent. This major work was published by Colnaghi, London. Gooden ranks with Robert Austin as one of the most acomplished British engravers of the period.

Engraving, 1941, Dodgson 24 (v/V), edition unknown. 6 7/8 x 4 7/8 in. Signed and dated in pencil. A fine, delicate impression with wide margins. Fine condition. Gooden was one of the first British artists to take up copper engraving consistently during the 1920s. He was elected to the Royal Academy in 1937.
