Towers in the Sun Etching and drypoint, 1933, edition 100. 11 x 12 7/8 in. Signed, titled and numbered in pencil. Also, there's a pencil dedication which is often encountered on McNulty's prints. This is a superb, luminous impression printed on light cream laid paper. The margins are full. The condition is very good apart from some slight wrinkles in the extreme outer margins, left and right, and a modest stain on the verso not visible from the front. McNulty studied at the Art Student's League and was encouraged to take up etching by Joseph Pennell. He taught there from 1931-1958. This print is among his finest views of New York. SOLD |
