SIMON MOULIJN
Dutch, (1866-1948)

Lithograph, 1939, Kappers 178, edition unknown. 10 x 13 1/8 in. Initialed and dated on the stone, lower right. Signed in pencil and this impression bears the artist's ink stamp with his initials (Lugt 2362b). Here we have a fine impression with full margins. The condition is very good apart from slight overall toning to the sheet primarily in the outer margins. Moulijn made his first lithographs in 1893. He continued his interest in the medium into the 1930s and he was extremely well know for his pastoral landscape lithographs of western Europe. He was also a painter and graphic designer.      $750
