Woodcut, circa 1929, Hansen / Drents Museum / Museum Mesdag catalogue page 47, edition unknown. 14 1/4 x 9 1/2 in. Initialed in the block and signed and titled in pencil. Inscribed "handdruk" in pencil. This is a fine, delicate impression printed on very thin Japanese paper. The condition is quite good. The margins are full. Verstijnen had a flair for the exotic and this is a favorite subject of his. We also have available a color woodcut by him of Flamingos.      SOLD
