Etching, drypoint, aquatint, roulette, 1886-1890, Bourcard-Goodfriend 165 11 3/4 x 15 3/4 in. Signed with the artist's large red owl stamp in the lower left part of the image. This is a stellar, rich impression printed in two tones of ink on a white wove paper. The margins are wide. The condition is very good apart from fold marks showing along the top and bottom margin; the bottom folds are fairly close to the platemark but not very noticeable. The central image (state v/VI) is printed from one plate and the border (iii/III) from another. This is one of the iconic 19th century French landscape etchings.      SOLD
