Lithograph printed in colors, circa 1895-1900, edition unknown. 11 x 16 1/2 in. Signed in pencil, lower right. This is a superb, luminous impression of this uncommon print. The paper is a light cream, fibrous Japanese and the margins appear to be full with the top margin somewhat narrow. The condition is very good other than for minor discoloration and handling creases in the margins only. This exquisite, subtle print displays a keen understanding of the difficult medium of color lithography. He was especially gifted at creating delicate washes to create a painterly, luminescent effect. The best work of Lunois is today quite underrated.      SOLD
