Etching, 1897-1912, Hubert E21 (ii/IV), Nieuwenkamp E21; only a few proofs in this state. 11 x 7 7/8 in. Initialed in the plate, lower right. Signed in pencil, also in the the lower right. This is a superb, luminous impression printed on Japanese paper. The margins are full and the condition is fine. The plate was later published in in album, "Dordrecht, zes Etsen van W.O.J. Nieuwenkamp en J.M. Graadt van Roggen." An edition of 35 was also issued by the firm P.J. Zürcher in the Hague in 1912 which appears with his blindstamp. There were few pencil signed impression of this print and impressions with false signatures do appear on the market.      SOLD
