Evening, The Pier at Flessingue (Le Soir, La Jetée de Flessingue) - PAUL SIGNAC - lithograph printed in colors

PAUL SIGNAC
French, (1863-1935)

Lithograph printed in colors, 1898, Kornfeld / Wick 20.IID, from the large edition for PAN. 8 x 10 1/4 in. Unsigned as usual. This is a fine, fresh impression on chine volant with wide margins. The text is printed in the lower left. The condition is fine other than for an inherent paper imperfection, a dark fiber, in the bottom center just affecting the image. The PAN edition was printed by Auguste Clot and published in Berlin by Otto Bierbaum and Julius Meier-Graefe. Signac, along with Georges Seurat and Henri-Edmond Cross, defined the French pointillist movement during the late 19th century.      SOLD
