Woodcut, circa 1929, Hansen / Drents Museum/Museum Mesdag catalogue page 47; edition unknown. 14 1/8 x 9 1/2 in. Signed and titled in pencil; also inscribed 'houtsnede handdruk." This is a fine, delicate impression printed on very thin Japanese paper. The margins are wide and the condition is very good. (There's a tiny hole in the right margin and some subtle wrinkling in the image most likely a result of the printing process. Verstijnen had a flair for the exotic and this is a favorite subject of his.       SOLD
