Woodcut printed in colors, 1934, Merx 423, edition unknown. 18 1/2 x 13 1/2 in. Signed and titled in pencil. This is a superb impression in fine condition. The margins are substantial and the the sheet appears to be untrimmed. This large and impressive work shows a remarkable three-dimensional effect by means of embossing (gauffrage) of the flowers. The influence of Japanese printmaking cannot be understated.      SOLD
