Conversation - EMIL GANSO
Medium: etching, aquatint, roulette and drypoint
Etching, aquatint, roulette and drypoint, undated (circa 1930), Smith I-35; edition 30. 7 3/4 x 5 5/8 in. Signed in pencil. This is a fine impression printed with tone. The margins are full and the condition is excellent. Ganso was a fine draughtsman and this subject is typical of his best work. Ganso shared a New York studio with Jules Pascin and they became great friends during the late 1920s. The influence of Pascin is clearly evident in this and others works.
