Woodcut printed in colors, 1953, Baltimore Museum of Art 309; edition 5 plus artist's proofs. 20 1/2 x 11 1/2 in. Signed, dated and titled in pencil. This is a fine, rich impression of this rare print. The margins are full but narrow on the top and bottom, measuring about 1/2" and with a deckle edge showing. The paper is a cream-colored Japanese and the condition is fine. This exemplary work from the 1950s was published in a portfolio called "Lettuce Country," which depicted farmers in the Salinas Valley of California.       SOLD
