Newport Harbor from Beacon Rock Etching with remarque, circa 1885, edition unknown. 12 3/4 x 21 in. Signed in pencil. A fine impression of this rare print. Substantial margins. Very good condition other than minor stains in the right margin area and a faint soft crease in the left side of the image. This particular view was painted by William Trost Richards and others. Mielatz was living in Newport during the mid 1880s and worked along the New England shoreline. SOLD |

The Flag Color etching and aquatint with added pencil work on the legs of the soldiers, 1918, edition unknown; extremely rare. 13 1/4 x 4 3/8 in. Signed and dated in the plate and signed in pencil. This is a superb impression printed by the artist and inscribed "three aquatint and one line plate...trial roof." The condition is fine apart from a very faint suggestion of discoloration within a previous mat opening. Full margins. The scene depicted here is Armistice Day in New York, 1918. This is a remarkable, experimental American color print. SOLD |

Winter Night Etching and aquatint printed in color, undated (perhaps circa 1910), edition at least 27. 9 x 10 7/8 in. Signed in pencil. Numbered "No.27 in ink in the lower right margin. This is a fine impression printed on cream wove paper. The margins are wide and the condition is fine. Mielatz was a superb technician and his color etchings are exceptional works from the era.
