Woodcut printed in color, 1901, Nieuwenkamp H23, edition unknown. 8 1/8 x 14 3/4 in. Initialed in the block with the monogram and signed and titled in pencil below the image. This is a fine impression of this rare and important woodcut. The margins are substantial and the condition is good. (There's a skillful repaired tear just into the image at left. There's thinning in the right margin verso, center, and traces of old adhesive on the four corners, only evident on the verso. This print is a superb example of Dutch art and design circa 1900. "Nieuwe Kunst" is the Dutch term for this art nouveau style.      SOLD
