Wood engraving, 1936, Buckland Wright L119, edition 75 plus 12 artists proofs. 9 7/8 x 6 15/16 in. Signed, dated, titled and numbered in pencil. This is a superb impression with full margins. The condition is excellent. This work was engraved for the Album of La Gravure Originale Belge, printed by Pichon. Our impression is numbered from an edition of 65 and the catalogue states 75 were printed. This exceptional work shows the artist at his best as a figurative artist. At the same time he was working with Hayter and doing abstract works in the Atelier 17 tradition.

This is a fine, rich impression with full margins. Excellent condition. The catalogue lists four trial proofs and four states. The total number of impressions printed is unknown.

This is one of thirteen wood engravings in this publication. The edition was printed in 1932 by Halcyon Press in Maastricht.

Drypoint, 1932, Buckland-Wright M29, edition 25. 7 5/8 x 3 3/8 in. Initialed in the plate, lower left. Signed, dated, numbered and titled in pencil. This is a fine, rich impression printed on a sturdy, simili japon paper. The margins are full. The condition is fine apart from slight light toning within an earlier mat opening. Here Buckland-Wright depicts a woman stepping into the bath as viewed through the doorway. This rare print was printed by Brunel in Paris.
