Empire State Building and Church Ruin Drypoint and roulette, 1931, Rose 167, edition 30 (?). 12 5/8 x 4 1/4 in. Signed and dated in pencil and inscribed "1-xxx" in pencil. This is a fine impression of this rare work. The margins measure 1/2" - 3/4 in. The condition is fine other than some stray printing ink in the upper margin. Rose states, "few signed, dated impressions on wove paper." SOLD |

Harlem River, New York Woodcut, 1930, Rose 44, edition 20. 7 3/4 x 11 1/2 in. Signed, numbered (1-XX) and dated (31) in pencil. This is a fine impression printed on a fibrous Japanese paper. The margins are wide and probably full. The condition is excellent. Early New York woodcuts by Drewes are quite rare. SOLD |

The Chess Game Drypoint, 1938, Rose 205, edition 10. 6 3/8 x 8 3/8 in. Signed and dated in pencil; also inscribed "1 - X." This is a fine impression with full margins. The condition is very good apart from some associated ripples from the printing process. According to Rose, the image "was drawn with pointed scissors." SOLD |
