Apple Blossoms Etching and aquatint printed in colors, circa 1930, edition unknown. 10 7/8 x 6 1/2 in. Signed in pencil, lower right. A fine impression printed on white wove paper. Wide margins. The condition is very good apart from old white paper tape at the edges of the sheet, verso. Harding was born in Java and returned to Holland at an early age. He studied with Pieter Dupont in Amsterdam at the Rijksakademie and lived the better part of his life in Heemstede (1923-1970). His command of intaglio printmaking is shown in his numerous color floral studies and city views. SOLD |

Bougainvillea Etching and aquatint, circa 1925-30, edition unknown. 10 7/8 x 6 1/2 in. Signed and titled in pencil and inscribed "epreuve d'artiste." Here we have a fine impression printed on a light cream wove paper. The margins are full and the condition is excellent. Harding was born in Java and returned to Holland at an early age. Grimnessesluis, Amsterdam Etching, circa 1920, Harting 9, edition unknown. 25 x 18 1/2 in. Signed and titled in pencil. Also inscribed, "épreuve d'artiste." This is a superb impression of this monumental print. The margins are full and the condition is excellent. Harting was born in Indonesia, and later lived and worked in Utrecht, Amsterdam and Haarlem. He studied at the Rijksakademie with Pieter Dupont. He was a superb etcher of architectural scenes and his best work is exquisite. SOLD |

Hanging Fuchsia Etching and aquatint printed in colors, circa 1925, edition unknown. 10 7/8 x 6 3/8 in. Signed and titled in pencil. A fine impression in very good condition. This print is inscribed "epreuve d'artiste" and the margins are full. Apart from minor soiling in the margins the condition is original and untouched. Harting studied at the Rijksakademie with Dupont. His subjects were wide-ranging in both his painting and printmaking and he especially liked floral studies. SOLD |

Lijnbaansgracht, Amsterdam Etching and aquatint, 1920s, edition probably about 50. 19 x 13 3/4 in. Signed in pencil, lower right. This is a superb, luminous impression printed on Van Gelder laid paper. The margins are full. The condition is excellent. Harting produced several large and exquisite Dutch architectural scenes which certainly remind us the 17th century images done by painters such as Vermeer, Pieter de Hooch and others from the Golden Age. He worked in great detail and the etchings are quite remarkable. SOLD |
