In the Fifties (Whirlpool) Etching and drypoint, circa 1930-40, edition probably 100. 13 5/8 x 7 1/8 in. Signed in pencil. This is a fine, rich impression printed on white wove paper. The margins are full. The condition is excellent other than for a modest smudge of printer's ink in the lower left margin, well away from the image. McNulty studied at the Art Student's League and also taught there until 1958. He was encouraged to take up printmaking by Joseph Pennell. $1,500 |

Towers in the Sun Etching and drypoint, 1933, edition 100. 11 x 12 7/8 in. Signed, titled and numbered in pencil. Also, there's a pencil dedication which is often encountered on McNulty's prints. This is a superb, luminous impression printed on light cream laid paper. The margins are full. The condition is very good apart from some slight wrinkles in the extreme outer margins, left and right, and a modest stain on the verso not visible from the front. McNulty studied at the Art Student's League and was encouraged to take up etching by Joseph Pennell. He taught there from 1931-1958. This print is among his finest views of New York. SOLD |

Under Brooklyn Bridge Drypoint, 1931, edition 75. 9 3/8 x 12 3/4 in. Signed, dated and titled in pencil. This superb impression is also inscribed "75 proofs." Printed on J WHATMAN watermarked paper, the print has full margins and is in fine condition. McNulty was well-known as a newspaper illustrator and later taught at the Art Students League during the 1930s and 1940s. This is one of his best New York prints. SOLD |
