Dockside Musicians Lithograph, 1930, edition unknown. 5 1/8 x 4 in. Initialed and dated on the stone. Signed and dated in pencil. This is a fine impression with full margins. Fine condition. This festive image most likely depicts Antwerp near the harbor where the sailors would congregate. Henri van Straten, a colleague of Minne, also made prints of similar subjects. Minne was one of a fine group of printmakers comprising "le Groupe des Cinq" which included Frans Mssereel, Jan-Frans Cantré, Joseph Cantré and the above mentioned, Henri van Straten. They specialized in making blockprints.

This is a fine, rich impression of this exceptional work. The condition is fine and the margins are wide. Minne was one of a fine group of printmakers comprising "le Groupe des Cinq" which included Frans Mssereel, Jan-Frans Cantré, Joseph Cantré and Henri van Straten.
