The margins are probably full and the condition is excellent. Gerard C. Haverkamp (1872-1926) was a Dutch painter, draughtsman and etcher. Until his early 20s, he worked in an office and was artistically active only in his spare time. He was taught etching by Maurits van der Valk. Later, he spent time in Paris, living with his friend Pieter Dupont. Haverkamp is mainly known as an etcher, having left an oeuvre of about three hundred prints. Oude Kerk is Amsterdam's oldest building and was founded in about 1213.
