Woodcut printed in colors, 1946, Williams 20; edition 150. 7 1/8 x 9 1/16 in. Signed in ink in the image and titled in pencil below the image at left. This is a fine, dark impression of this uncommon print. The margins are about 1" all around which is typical for Rist's woodcuts. The condition is very good. Technically superb, Rist has taken this rather simple subject and transformed it into a tour de force of the woodcut medium. The rose petals are beautifully defined.      SOLD
