Wood engraving, 1901-02, Nieuwenkamp H35; edition unknown. 7 3/8 x 8 15/16 in. Initialed in the block, lower right. This is a fine, lifetime impression as published in the avant-garde art journal Wendingen, subsequent to the small pencil-signed edition printed by the artist. The paper is an extremely thin, Japanese tissue with the title printed in the lower left corner of the sheet. The condition is excellent. This wonderful Dutch art nouveau design is typical of the artist's work in this period. Architecture and landscape blend together in a refined and lyrical way.       SOLD
