L'Abside de Notre Dame de Paris
Etching and drypoint, 1907, Tabanelli 265 (vi/VI), and, T 266, edition about 150. 13 x 18 1/4 in. Signed and dated in the plate. Signed in pencil, lower right. With the added etched remarque ("la petit planche du débardeur") added in the lower left from a separate plate (Tabanelli 266). This is a fine, atmospheric impression printed on cream- colored Japanese paper. The margins are wide and probably full. The condition is excellent.

Etching with drypoint, 1907, Tabanelli 261; edition 50. 11 5/8 x 18 in. Signed and titled in pencil. This is a fine impression printed with tone. The paper is a sturdy wove and the margins are full. The condition is very good. There are a few specks of foxing in the margins and some soiling. Many of Chahine's prints were lost in a studio fire in 1926 and then again from a flood in 1942.

The margins are probably full and the condition is excellent. This work was published by Sagot, Paris, and their blindstamp is in the lower left (Lugt 2254).

Etching, drypoint and aquatint printed in colors, 1903, Tabanelli 110, only state, edition 50. 11 5/8 x 18 1/4 in. Signed in the plate and signed in pencil by Chahine, lower right. Titled and numbered by the publisher, lower right. This is a fine impression printed on cream Japanese paper. The margins are full and the condition is also fine. This large, rare color print was published by Sagot, Paris, and bears their blindstamp (Lugt 2254) in the lower right corner. Along with Jacques Villon, James Tissot, and Toulouse-Lautrec, Chahine was one of the best portrayers of the images associated with la belle époque. (More than half of Chahine's prints were destroyed in a 1926 studio fire and even more were destroyed in a 1942 flood.)

This is a superb impression printed with rich ink tone. The paper is Japanese and the margins are wide. The condition is quite good overall. Signed in pencil and inscribed "epreuve," lower left. This is a fine impression printed on a cream Japan paper. The margins are substantial but somewhat trimmed. Fine condition. Along with Jacques Villon, James Tissot, and Toulouse-Lautrec, Chahine was one of the best portrayers of the images associated with la belle époque. (More than half of Chahine's prints were destroyed in a 1926 studio fire and even more were destroyed in a 1942 flood.) The print was published by Sagot but their blindstamp is not showing here.
