Etching and aquatint printed in colors, circa 1937, edition unknown. 19 5/8 x 22 in. Signed in pencil and also inscribed "Epreuve d'artiste." This is a fine impression of this large and impressive print. The margins are full and the condition is fine. (There's a small repaired tear just into the upper margin, center.) Everbag specialized in color intaglio prints and his florals are among his best works. A catalogue raisonné was published in conjunction with a retrospective in 1988 at the Museum Kempenland.

Etching and aquatint printed in colors, before 1941, Vervoorn 44, edition unknown. 24 x 18 1/2 in. Signed and titled in pencil. The print is also inscribed, épreuve d'artiste, in pencil. This is a fine subtle impression of the large and exceptional print. The margins are full and the condition is good. There's a professionally repaired split in the right margin outside of the platemark and some toning and residue adhesive on the verso from an early mount. A catalogue raisonné of Everbag's prints was published in conjunction with a retrospective in 1988 at the Museum Kempenland.

Etching and aquatint printed in colors, circa 1937, Vervoorn 39 (variant), edition unknown. 15 1/4 x 19 7/8 in. Signed and titled in pencil. This is a superb impression with fresh colors. The margins are full and the condition is very good. (There's just a faint suggestion of toning within an early mat opening.) This large work is one of several panoramic views of Amsterdam which Everbag created. He's arguably the finest Dutch etcher who worked with printed color during the first half of the 20th century. His art is decorative yet highly refined, with a keen sense of color and composition. This print is a state variant not described by Vervoorn, with the boat in the foreground now facing left.

Here we have a fine impression printed on sturdy cream paper. The margins are full. The condition is very good other than for slight toning along an old mat opening. A catalogue raisonné was published in conjunction with a retrospective in 1988 at the Museum Kempenland.

Etching and aquatint printed in colors, 1915, Vervoorn 82, small edition. 12 x 9 7/8 in. Signed in pencil, lower right. This is a good impression with full margins. (There's a small printer's crease in the lower right corner of the image.) The condition is fine. Everbag specialized in making very refined color aquatints and he produced about thirty florals in addition to many bird studies and city scenes. He had a print retrospective at the Museum Kempenland (Holland) in 1988. This print is from the collection of Philip Jansen, a major collector of modern Dutch prints. His collector's mark is on the verso but is not recorded by Lugt.

Etching and aquatint printed in colors, 1932, Vervoorn 102, edition unknown. 8 3/4 x 8 5/8 in. Signed and numbered ("21") in pencil. This is a fine impression with wide margins. The condition is very good part from some traces of staining in the margins, not affecting the image. The Vervoorn catalogue lists about forty floral prints by Everbag. He was particularly fond of Chinese porcelain as it appears in many of these prints.

The margins are quite wide. Everbag's best work places him as one of the best color intaglio printmakers working in Holland at this time. His work is not especially common.

Etching and aquatint printed in colors, done before 1923, Vervoorn 97, edition unknon but perhaps 50. 18 x 16 1/4 in. Signed in pencil, lower right. Inscribed, épreuve d'artiste," lower left. This is a fine, rich impression with full margins. The condition is fine apart from the slightest trace of an old mat line. This large work exemplifies Everbag's great skills as a color intaglio printmaker. He was producing these plates at a time when color prints were the exception in Holland and his color etchings were certainly among the best work done at the time. His earliest works were mezzotints after old masters. His mature work consists primarily of views of Amsterdam, flower studies, birds and other animals. His last important exhibition was at the Museum Kempenland in Eindhoven in 1988. Everbag's prints are consistently good and they are especially sought after by collectors in his native Holland.

This is a superb, luminous impression printed on sturdy wove paper. the margins are full and the condition is very good. This is Everbag's most famous print and it's featured on the cover of the catalogue raisonné. He's arguably the finest Dutch etcher who worked with printed colors during the first half of the 20th century. Everbag's art is decorative yet highly refined and he consistently demonstrates a keen sense of color and composition. This is a rare print today and it's the first time we have ever offered an impression for sale.

Etching and aquatint printed in colors, undated (probably done in the 1930s), Not in Vervoorn, edition at least 38. 10 1/2 x 14 3/4 in. Signed in pencil, lower right. Inscribed "38" in pencil, lower left, most likely a reference to the edition. This is a fine impression printed on sturdy wove paper. The margins are good and the condition is good. There's some skinning in the top margin and darkening to the margins from having been mounted in a mat. Some foxing on the verso. This is a large and stunning work of a quintessential Dutch subject.
