Here we have a fine impression with full margins. The paper is a cream laid and the Griffelkunst blindstamp is in the lower left margin. Excellent condition. The Haseldorfer Marsch is in Schleswig-Holstein.

This is a fine impression with full margins. The condition is excellent. Janssen produced many portraits of Poe, an author he admired and was fascinated by. This work is exemplary.

The condition is excellent. This compelling image is one of many intaglios produced by Janssen at the Giffelkunst-Vereinigung in Hamburg. They have been publishing prints since 1925. There's a Horst Janssen Museum in his hometown, Oldenburg.

This engaging and subtle print has a kind of kinetic and spirited energy in spite of the simplicity of the composition.

The condition is excellent. Janssen excelled at self portraiture and he produced innumerable version of his own likeness. This is the case here as the artist leans down to offer his cat, Lydia, a mouse. Janssen is widely considered one of the finest draughtsmen and printmakers of his generation. His work is found in a vast number of museums in Europe as well as here in the United States. This includes the Museum of Modern Art and the Art Institute of Chicago. He's had exhibitions at the Rembrandthuis Museum and the Leopold Museum in Vienna.

The margins are full and the condition is excellent. Janssen is widely considered one of the finest draughtsmen and printmakers of his generation. His work is found in a vast number of museums in Europe as well as here in the United States. This includes the Museum of Modern Art and the Art Institute of Chicago. He's had exhibitions at the Rembrandthuis Museum and the Leopold Museum in Vienna. Depicted here is a mother and child seemingly overwhelmed by an intense rainstorm.
