This is a fine impression with probably the full margins, with a deckle edge showing on three sides. The condition is excellent. This charming work was later reprinted in a posthumous unsigned edition of 248 impressions in 1959. There were 17 impressions in the first two states and then,as we have here, an edition of 68. Here we have a fine impression with full margins. The condition is excellent. The paper bears the watermark RIVES and the blindstamp of the publisher, H. Petit, Editeur, Paris (See Lugt 2021a). At the time of publication, the author of the catalogue raisonné was uncertain as to how many artist's proofs were printed. We now know the number is 15 as seen here. SOLD |
