The condition is fine apart from soft wrinkles in the right margin area. Royds was married to Ernest Lumsden, the well known etcher of the period. She exhibited regularly at the Society of Scottish artists, the Society of Artist Printers and the Graver Printers in Colour. She produced about sixty blockprints and her work has become hard to come by today. $1,500 |

The colors are especially fresh and there are no condition issues. This subtle, nicely-designed work is printed with more opaque colors than most of her block prints. Royds almost never dated her prints and the edition sizes remains a mystery to this day. They have always been a great value in today's market and are getting much more difficult to acquire. SOLD |
