Rainy Day, New York Etching and drypoint, circa 1933, Subsequent to Torrington, edition unknown. 14 7/8 x 8 3/4 in. Signed in pencil and also inscribed "27." The margins are full. the condition is excellent. West did a few New York scenes which are hard to come by. His work was influenced by his friend, Joseph Pennell, and Kennedy Galleries represented his work for many years. This print is included in the collection of the National Gallery in Washington, DC. $2,000 |

Twin Pines Drypoint with etching, 1931, edition probably 100. 14 1/2 x 9 3/8 in. Signed in pencil, lower right. Here we have a fine impression, rich with burr. The margins are substantial and the condition is good. (There's a reinforced thin spot in the lower right margin to just outside the platemark.) This impression is inscribed "40." "Twin Pines" is one of West's preeminent western prints and an impression is found in the Indianapolis Museum of Art. SOLD |

Under the El Etching and drypoint, undated (probably 19, edition unknown 13 3/8 x 9 1/4 in. Signed in pencil and inscribed "4". A superb, atmospheric impression of this extremely rare print. Full margins. Fine condition. West studied with Joseph Pennell (1925-26) and produced just a few New York scenes, all of which are rare. The edition is unknown but we assume it to be quite limited.
